Love this new marketing concept from NZ merino clothing label Icebreaker...
They've made it easy for customers to find out where their fleecy products came from with the help of a system they're calling Baacode which launched last week.
Baacode gives each item of clothing a unique tracking number, which when entered into Icebreaker's website allows you to find out exactly where your clothing was made, even allowing you to take a virtual tour of the New Zealand ranch on which "your" sheep was raised.
The aim is for customers to learn more about the work that goes into making an item of clothing and for Icebreaker to make their operating practices transparent to the consumer.
